What is turmeric?

Turmeric is a spice that comes from the root of a plant called Curcuma longa, and its active ingredient: curcumin.

5 EASY WAYS TO CONSUME TURMERIC ON THE DAILY


Good to know: if you can't source fresh turmeric root, use organic powdered turmeric. Use 1 level teaspoon in place of 1cm of fresh.

1) MAKE YOURSELF A TURMERIC TEA

The quickest and most simple way is to boil filtered water in a pan (or nut milk) and then add 2 cm of sliced turmeric root (and root of ginger if you like it) per person to the pan, simmer and leave for 15 minutes. 2) BLEND TURMERIC INTO YOUR FAVOURITE SOUP
